I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many fond memories of Bob and Polly as they were very good friends with my parents, Bob and Audrey Jones. Dad and Bobby were close as they were both born and raised in Newark and continued to live there as true Newark boys. Dad and I would walk down Main Street to see Bobby marching in the Memorial Day parade and he could still fit in his uniform. He was always so happy to see you and genuinely interested in what you were doing. Coincidentally he also flew out of Willow Grove for the navy with my future father-in-law. My mother would play golf with Polly and was a member of the Kitty Hawk girls. Mr. Sheaffer was a one of a kind and I am sure he will be missed. I hope that the love and memories you shared give comfort.
