Robert A. White, 48, of Elkton, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 25, 2013. He died unexpectedly, and always claimed he’d have the shelf life of a Twinkie. Of course, coincidentally, Twinkies are also gone these days.
Robert was born September 23, 1964 in Providence, Rhode Island to parents Thomas and the late Adelle White. Upon moving to Elkton, Robert–Bob as his friends and family called him–attended Elkton High School and later joined the Army, serving in locations like Germany and Aberdeen Proving Ground. He worked as a Service Manager at various auto dealerships, most recently Bayshore Ford in New Castle.
Bob was a fan of playing video games with his kids, skiing, snowmobiling, riding his motorcycle, and was always up for a great action movie. He was an all around fun guy who enjoyed living life to the fullest.
Bob was a loving husband and father and is survived by the love of his life Angela White of Elkton, MD; his daughters Crystal White of Los Angeles, CA, Lauren White of Elkton, MD, and Heather White of Elkton, MD; father Thomas White, Sr., of Smyrna, DE; sister Kathy Lemon of Smyrna, DE; brothers Thomas White, Jr. of Belmont, NC, and Stephen White of Providence, RI, and several nieces and nephews.
A service will be held 1PM on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 259 E. Main St., Elkton, MD 21921. Viewing and visitation will be held from 6-8PM on Friday, March 29, 2013 and an hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be held 2PM on Monday, April 1, 2013 at Glenwood Cemetery in East Greenwich, RI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation c/o the funeral home. At the request of the family, attendees are asked to wear something orange, which was Bob’s favorite color.
