Robert “Bob” Waldridge, 80, died February 15, at home surrounded by loved ones.

He was born to the late James and Flossie Waldridge in Wilmington, DE. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Pauline Chadwick Waldridge. He worked as a house painter, retiring from the University of Delaware Housing Department in 1991.

Bob is also survived by his daughter Flossie Pinson, her husband Johnny; daughter Teresa Manko, her husband Bob; six grandchildren, Robert Waldridge, Rebecca Doherty,

Charlie Couyou, Jonathan Pinson, Richard Couyou, Jeremy Pinson and preceded in death by his grandson Allen Waldridge. Also surviving Bob is one great grandson; 8 great granddaughters; a special nephew and his family, Donald Chadwick, his wife Mary and their 3 children and 5 grandchildren; as well as many other relatives. He also had two brothers and a sister, who preceded him in death.

A graveside service will be held at St. George’s Cemetery, 4320 Kirkwood St. Georges Road St. Georges, DE 19701 on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Seasons Hospice, c/o R. T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main St., Elkton, MD 21921.
