Richard Thomas “Ritt” Gallo passed away Wednesday November 19th, 2014 surrounded by family and friends following a brief illness. Born in East Paterson, N.J.on Aug.21,1948 to the late Louis & Edith ( Campman) Gallo.He was 66 years old. Richard graduated from East Paterson High School in 1966. He went on to study at The Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. He loved the city of Philadelphia, and it was there that he established Mr.Ritt’s Bakery and Mr.Ritt’s Gluten Free Bakery.
Richard was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Edith Gallo, sisters Dolores Lopusnak Kubat and Barbara Lopusnak Leskanic, and brother Louis Gallo. He is survived by his sisters Sandra Gallo Apolito, Elinor La Rosa, Rose Marie Bertani all of New Jersey, and brother Frank Gallo of Georgia as well as many nieces , nephews, dedicated friends and co-workers. Ritt will always be remembered for his kind and generous spirit.
Family and Friends will honor his memory on Sunday December 14, 2014 at Guiseppe’s Restaurant in Newfoundland,N.J. from 2-6pm.
