Richard Samuel Field, 49, of Newark, DE, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016. Born September 6, 1966 in Wilmington, DE, Richard was the son of Samuel W. Field and Mary Darlene Smith.

Richard was a motorcycle enthusiast who loved riding his Harley Davidson. He also enjoyed reading about history, specifically the history of war, and relaxing at home watching his shows. Richard cherished his time spent with his family and friends, especially his wonderful children.

Richard is survived by his three children, Matthew Samuel Field, Christopher Douglas Field, and Kelli Amber Field; father, Samuel W. Field; mother, Mary Darlene Smith and her husband, Kenneth; sister, Erin E. Hurtt and her husband, Kevin; brothers, Chad W. Field and Brian S. Field and his wife, Donna; girlfriend, Michele Babicki; former spouse, Karen Field; and several extended family and dear friends.

A celebration of Richard’s life will be held at 7pm Monday, July 25, 2016 at R.T. Foard and Jones Funeral Home, 122 W. Main St., Newark, DE 19711, where family and friends may visit beginning at 6pm.
