Richard Bernard McLaughlin, age 61 of Newark, DE, passed peacefully on Sunday, November 19, 2023. He was born on October 28, 1962, in Wilmington, DE to the late Bernard A. McLaughlin and Alta L. (Linder) McLaughlin.
Richard worked at Anderson Distribution installing Anderson doors and windows. He enjoyed going hunting, fishing, and spending time around all animals and nature. Richard had a love for rock and roll music and classic muscle cars. He enjoyed riding bicycles with his daughter and playing the guitar. Richard thrived on helping others in need.
Richard is survived by his daughter, Katherine Wilkins (Matthew); brother, Robert McLaughlin (companion, Wendy); sisters: Nancy McLaughlin, and Kelly Daniels (Scott).
A celebration of Richard’s life will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023, at 1:00 pm, at R.T. Foard and Jones, Inc., 122 W. Main Street, Newark, DE 19711, where family and friends may begin visiting at 12:00 pm. Burial will be private. To send online condolences please visit, www.rtfoard.com
