Reva Velara Sexton

Reva Velara Sexton, 75, of Port Deposit, entered into the Kingdom of Heaven surrounded by her loving family, October 11, 2014.

Reva was born in Wise County, Virginia December 14, 1938. She grew up in a loving home with her parents and 8 brothers and sisters.

On August 22, 1953 Reva married James Sexton. They remained married for 61 years. Reva and James had four children: Dennis, Lois, David and Darrel.

Reva was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.

There was nothing more important to her than her family. Reva loved every one of her children and grandchildren with all of her heart. She loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor, loving heart, and faithfulness to the Lord.

Reva is preceded in death by her parents: Covey and Margie Robinette, two brothers: Emory and Delmon, and five sisters: Dorthy, Albie, Oshea, Hazel, Goldie.

She is survived by her husband James H. Sexton; four children – Dennis Sexton and Kecia Huss, Lois Sexton, David and, his wife, Karen Sexton, and Darrel Sexton; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grand children; and her sister, Bernice Campbell of Wise County, Virginia.

A private burial will be held October 14, 2014.
