Raymond “Tom” Miller

July 14, 1947 - March 27, 2020

A Vietnam veteran, Tom proudly served his county in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion Post 194 in Rising Sun, MD and served with the Honor Guard for many years. Tom coached for the Rising Sun Little League while his sons played baseball. He was a huge sports and Nascar fan. Tom took great joy in helping everyone he knew. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Anna Miller; sons: Steven Miller and his wife, Candace and Kevin Miller and his wife, Maria; granddaughter, Allison; five siblings: Virginia Tharp and her husband, Bob; Allen Miller and his wife, Judy; Linda Bak and her husband, Stan; Russell Miller and his wife, Christine and Hazel Jeansonne and her husband, Russell; and beloved dog, Winston.

Services will be held at a later date.

We didn't know Tom personally but have met and enjoyed many of the Millers through Linda.Stan and Carol. You are a very special family and we pray that your love,memories and faith will see you through this tremendous loss.

Tom was in my high school class. Never saw him without a smile on his face. Nice guy.

To the Miller Family, Words can not express the depth of our abiding sympathy for your loss. While we mourn the passing of any veteran, the feelings are especially poignant when that veteran is one of your own members. And while tears and words of sympathy can not bring back the comfort of those loving hands, the laughter shared by a brother-in-arms, or the music of a voice now stilled, we pray that you can take some solace in knowing that "Tom" is now at home with God.
