Raymond Russell Robinson, Jr., age 52, of Newark, DE, passed away after fighting a long battle of cancer on Sunday, January 23, 2022. He was born on March 10, 1969 in Wilmington, DE to Shirley M. (Maule) Robinson and the late Raymond R. Robinson, Sr.

Raymond was employed by Department of Transportation for the State of DE as a signal technician. He took great joy in riding motorcycles and spending time with his family. Raymond will be dearly missed.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Paula Robinson of Newark, DE; son, Raymond Robinson, III and his fiance, Hailey Bowens of Newark, DE; daughter, Nicole Krystal Robinson and her fiance, Cody Bigler of Newark, DE; grandchildren: Clover Chan and soon to be Ivy Rae Bigler; three brothers: Eugene Reed and his wife, Jackie of Rising Sun, MD, John R. Reed of Rising Sun, MD, and Michael Reed and his wife, Sherry of Rising Sun, MD; and three sisters: Esther Lesieur of Stanton, DE, Sharon Robinson of Newark, DE, and Florence Reed Deputy and her husband, David of Hockessin, DE.

In addition to his father, Raymond was preceded in death by his brother, Woodrow W. Reed.

A visitation will be on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 6:00-8:00PM at R.T. Foard and Jones, 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “American Cancer Society” and send in care of the funeral home.
