Raymond Preston Franklin, age 66, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at his residence in Elkton, MD. He was born June 7, 1947 in Wilmington, DE to the late William Franklin and Mary Kathryn Spiller.
Very intelligent and inquisitive, Ray loved anything electronic. He would have all the latest gadgets and devices and was self taught on usage of the devices and proficiency of their applications. He inspired this desire to learn to his children, and would accompany them on class and family trips to various museums in the surrounding area. He was also a loyal Philadelphia Eagles fan and supported his team through the good and bad.
He is survived by his son, Shawn Tyre and wife Lori in Wilmington, DE; daughter Tricia Franklin of Wilmington, DE; and 6 grandchildren.
