Ray Edwards Sluder, age 73, of Rising Sun, MD passed away on January 6, 2024. He was born on July 25, 1950 in Havre De Grace, MD to late Fred and Agnes (Vipperman) Sluder.
Ray worked on the farm where he took great joy in helping where he could. He was an avid clock collector and enjoyed eating at Golden Corral on Sundays with his best friend. Ray loved having small talk with anyone who would listen to him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ray is survived by his three siblings: Fred Sluder, Jr., and his wife, Joan; Linda Ball and her husband, Frankie, and Barbara Ann Sluder; and good friend, Jesse McMillan.
In addition to his parents Ray is preceded in death by his two brothers: Walter Sluder and Charles Sluder.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at R.T. Foard Life Event Center, 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911 where family and friends may begin visiting at 1:00PM. Burial will be held privately.
