Randall “Randy” Rex Davis, age 83, of Bear, DE, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026. He was born on March 10, 1943 in Norton, OH, to the late Vara Bee Davis and Virginia (Poling) Davis.
Randy proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Navy Corpsman, carrying with him a deep sense of patriotism and pride throughout his life. Following his military service, he devoted himself to his family, friends, and community, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Randy had a passion for line dancing, where his infectious smile and love of music made him a familiar face on the dance floor. Whether dancing with friends or welcoming newcomers, he found great joy in the friendships and memories created through this shared pastime.
He was an active member of the Elkton Moose Lodge 851, the Elks Lodge of Wilmington, Delaware, VFW Post 8175, and American Legion Post #25. Through these organizations, Randy enjoyed fellowship, supported fellow veterans, and gave back to his community. His dedication to these groups reflected his generous spirit and commitment to serving others.
Above all, Randy will be remembered for his kind heart, friendly nature, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved. He cherished the time spent with family and friends and touched many lives with his warmth, laughter, and willingness to lend a helping hand.
Randy is survived by his children; Kris Davis (Lisa Bridle) and Brian Davis; and grandchildren: Stone Davis, Rex Davis and Zadie Davis. In addition to his parents, Randy is preceded in death by his girlfriend, Lyn Rector and brother, Durrell “Dink” Davis.
A graveside services will be held at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 2:00PM, where military honors will be rendered in recognition of his honorable service to the United States Navy.
