Ramonia Sue King, 51, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away at home December 10, 2014 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Elkton, MD on May 11, 1963, Ramonia was the daughter of Barbara Lewis Sadler. She received her degree in nursing from Cecil College and practiced as a registered nurse at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center and Abbey Manor Assisted Living. Ramonia loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She had a special way of leaving a positive impact on everyone she met. Ramonia always saw the best in people and her smile and friendship had a way of touching your heart. She will be remembered for her compassion and devotion to her family.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Johney B. King of Rising Sun; two daughters, Rachel E King of Rising Sun and Senior Airman Rebecca E King USAF , stationed at J.B.L.M McCord Air Force Base in Washington St; and two grandchildren, Avery Rose King and Adam Brandon Garcia. She also leaves behind many brothers and sisters, Allen, Scott, David, Eric and Candace Sadler, Marsha Hamilton, Shelby Wadsworth and Vicki Brock. She was preceded in death by her son, Adam Remington King, Her mother Barbara Fern Sadler and her uncle, Paul Carol Lewis.
A celebration of Ramonia’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday December 19, 2014 at Porter’s Grove Baptist Church, 478 Connelly Rod, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
