Ralph Oliver Knight, II, 69 of Havre de Grace, MD passed away at Union Hospital Friday November 4, 2011 after a brief illness.
Born in Street, MD on November 26, 1941, Ralph was the son of the late Bob and Grace Knight. He was a 1959 graduate of Bel Air High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was owner of Level Garage. An honorary life member of Level Volunteer Fire Department, he restored their first 1000gal tanker #116 which is still displayed in a place of honor. Ralph had a private pilot’s license and was a member of AAOPA. His greatest loves were his work and his family.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 48 years, Anja Resker Knight of Havre de Grace; a son Oliver Knight and his wife Becky of Havre de Grace; three grandchildren, Jeff, Emma and Aaron; a sister Jane Seiler of Aberdeen and a brother Mike Knight and his wife June of Havre de Grace. He was preceded in death by his sister Patsy Roope and his brother Bobby Knight.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 615 Congress Ave., Havre de Grace, MD on Saturday November 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
