










Ralph J. Knox, age 78, of Elkton, MD passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Heartland Hospice House in Wilmington, DE. Ralph was born in Elkton, MD on August 14, 1934 to the late Joseph & Carrie (Bell) Knox.
A proud veteran of the Marine Corps, Ralph, served his country during the Korean War era. He worked for 35 years as a chemical operator at Thiokol Corporation (currently ATK) in Elkton. Ralph enjoyed being outdoors and felt at home in his garden where he particularly enjoyed planting roses. He kept himself busy by indulging in military history and astronomy in his free time.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Earlene (Morann) Knox of Elkton, MD; daughters, Pam Lore and husband Gil of Bear, DE, Denise Lepkowski and husband John of Townsend, DE, Renee Knox and John Martin of San Antonio, TX, Kathy Knox and Matt Sholl of Elkton, MD; granddaughters, Ryann Wallace, Gillian Wallace, Leah Wallace and
Sydney Davis; grandson, Baylen Davis; great grandson, Jakob Sinex; sons-in-law, Donny Davis, Rick Napolski, and Eric Trovinger; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou and Ophelia Knox; plus several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ralph is pre-deceased by his brothers Hugh and Paul Knox, and sister Mary Bell Pennock.
A service will be held 11 a.m. on Monday March 25, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Parish, 455 Bow St., Elkton, MD 21921 where family and friends may call one hour prior. Burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception c/o the funeral home.
