Ralph Colalillo, 84, AKA Dickie Dare of Wilmington, DE, peacefully passed away December 13, 2011 at Governor Bacon Health Center.
He grew up in the Little Italy Area of Wilmington, DE, was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Army and retired from Diamond/Dreyfus Distribution Center. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus with Holy Family and Holy Angels Church. He enjoyed going to Delaware Park, and watching football and was a fan of the 49ers and Eagles.
He is survived by his second wife of 40 years, Cecilia Hackney Colalillo; a daughter Elizabeth Moodie and her husband Keith of Bear, DE; a grandson Conner Foster Moodie, three stepdaughters, Carol Doyle of NJ, Margaret Turner of VA, and Vicki Hackney of FL.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, 15 Gender Road, Newark, DE 19713 on Saturday December 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation 1 hour prior at the church. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery.
