Petar Dobric, devoted husband, father and grandfather, of Elkton, MD, age 68, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021. Petar was born on February 2, 1952 in Blatusa, Croatia to the late Djuradja Dobric and Ljubica (Gazibara) Dobric.
Petar finished tailoring school in Karlovac, Croatia. He started his career in Croatia and continued his trade throughout his life. Petar and his family moved to America as refugees 21 years ago. He created a great life for his family despite obstacles put in his way. He was committed to his craft and built a successful tailoring business with his daughter. Petar and his wife prospered and flourished through difficult times and always put their family above all else. His passion for building and creating was expressed and can be seen within his second custom home which is situated in Elkton. He was also a problem-solver who often took on difficult projects around the house. He enjoyed outdoor cooking, traveling, gathering with friends and most of all spending time with his grandsons.
Petar is survived by his wife, Danica; daughter, Djurdja; son-in-law Aco; grandsons: Luka and Alek; brother, Milan; and sister, Miljka.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Burial will be held immediately after at Newark Cemetery.
