I just heard about Peggy's passing. Although I have t seen her in many years, I remember her so well! She was so loving and warm and I have many happy memories of her cherry dump cake and sweet tea on the front porch. She was at every band concert, parade and musical her kids were in. I'm so sorry for all of you. She was an incredible woman. Love to all - Sharon Snapp Tawlks

Earl, I am so sorry this is so late! I was in Florida visiting grandchildren when I got the very sad news of Peggy's passing! Carol Lee just showed me the flyer from her funeral. My she was such a lovely lady and I will always remember her kindness and talent in making everything "look pretty" (as she always said) at Sandy Cove women's events! And, of course, you were always a vital part of that ministry also! May the Lord comfort you as only He can in this tremendous loss. Many blessings, Candy Davison

Aunt Peggy was always so welcoming to me. When I'd visit Kathy and Terri (before Marie was born!), she'd invite me to the table like one of her immediate family. One time, I (stupidly) slid down the sliding board in their backyard while holding a baton. One of the rubber tips was missing and I really scraped up my stomach and dear Aunt Peggy came a-running. She was a great aunt and caring person. I can see her loving spirit in all her children and grand-children!

I met Earl and Peggy Simmers last December when they hired me to be a caregiver for Miss Peggy. Miss Piggy love to everyone, and it wasn't long before I felt like another member of the family. To know them is to love them, and as I meant other members of the family I marveled because all of them we're just as lovable. What a legacy this family has! It is evident that mr. Earl I miss Peggy loved and served the Lord, and trained their family to do the same. My life has been so and Rich to be a part of their circle; and it seems apparent that every person who has had a part of their lives has been just as blessed. Please know that I will continue to pray for all of you, and I am ready to help in any way that I can. Stay blessed,Simmers family. Jude 22 is my life verse and it well could be the verse for the Simmers family. Each of them is impacting the world every day with the goodness that only comes from knowing Jesus.

I have many loving memories of Peggy. Us going to Ocean City, playing ball in the field, going to candy making class, making candy, delicious food served with love and laughter on the porch, Fern and I sitting around her chair with all of us singing. I was blessed to have Peggy as a friend.
