Pedro Antonio Sarmiento-Celis, age 46 of Windsor Locks, CT passed away on August 3, 2018 in Elkton, MD. Born on February 14, 1972 in Bogota, Colombia, Pedro was the son of Edgardo Aurelio Sarmiento and the late Magnolia Celis.
Pedro was a very caring man with a noble heart. His family always came first and he would do whatever he could for them. He was a wonderful son, spouse, partner, brother, and friend. He was passionate about nature and animals; he especially loved his two French Poodles, Rachel and Repollas. He also truly enjoyed traveling and would take his beloved dogs wherever he went. If Pedro could have explored the entire world, he would have.
Pedro was a funny man who enjoyed making his friends and family laugh. He enjoyed music and had a sensitivity toward the arts. He also liked watching science fiction movies and especially liked Star Wars. Most importantly, Pedro was a Christian man who cherished the gifts that God provided us.
Pedro is survived by his loving fiancé, Betty Moy of Windsor Locks, CT; father, Edgardo Sarmiento of Hialeah, FL; four sisters: Lisette Rodriguez and her husband Francisco of Cape Coral, FL, Alexandra Sarmiento and her husband Felipe Urune of Colombia, Michelle Sarmiento and her husband Damian Muniz of Colombia and Nicole Sarmiento of Colombia. He is also survived by his niece, Melanie Rodriguez of Cape Coral, FL and the son of his fiancé, Johad Ellis of Pittsburg, PA.
Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
