Paul R. Goodchild, Jr., age 68, passed away at home January 11, 2018. He was born on August 7, 1949 in Elkton, MD to the late Paul R. Goodchild Sr. and Grace L. Fisher.
Paul was a loving father and devoted employee. He enjoyed horses, John Wayne movies, county music, fishing, playing poker and time spent drinking coffee with family and friends. Paul was involved in the family business, Goodchild Incorporated and was a member of Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder and the Fraternal Order of Police.
Paul R. Goodchild, Jr. is survived by his fiancée, Jane Kalinkauskas; daughters; Danielle Butler and Amy Hutchens; sons; Paul Henley and Jessie Goodchild; step-daughters; Lauri Shatley and Nicole Massey; brother, Ronald L. Goodchild and his wife Debbie; sister, Paula H. Newton and her husband Ralph; and sister, Sharon Anderson. He is also survived by ten grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Goodchild.
Family and friends are called the evening of Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921. A celebration of Paul R. Goodchild, Jr.’s life will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2018 at the R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder” or “St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,” and sent in care of the funeral home.
