Patrick S. Biddle, 78, of Elkton, Maryland passed away Friday, November 4, 2022. He was born in Elkton, MD, July 3, 1944, and grew up in Port Herman, MD. He was the son of Robert Biddle Sr. and Mary Coyle Biddle.
Pat worked as a Laboratory Technician for over 30 years at Dupont in Glasgow, DE.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife of over 43 years, Marianne Futty Biddle. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Veasey.
He is survived by his three children, Patrick Biddle , wife Margaret, of Elkton, MD, Michele Mills, of Bear, DE, and Susan Hurd, husband Lon, of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by five grandchildren; Christopher Mills, wife Erin, Zachary Biddle, Ocean Hurd, husband Nick, Margaret Biddle and Avalon Hurd. He is also survived by his great grandson, Benjamin Mills. In addition to his children and grandchildren, he is survived by his siblings: Robert Biddle, Nan Furness and Marianne Cahill
Pat enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and watching college football. He was a big fan of the Crimson Tide. He was a well-known waterfowl carver and enjoyed traveling with Marianne to many decoy shows throughout the country. He shared his talents by teaching the art of wood carving to many students. In 2008, Patrick was chosen to participate in the US Department of States, Art in Embassies Program, displaying his hand carved and painted Blue Wing Teal for the year in Washington DC. He never missed The Price is Right or Gunsmoke.
A celebration of his life will be on Saturday November 12th, by his wife’s grave, at the Catholic Cemetery on route 213 in Elkton, MD in Cherry Hill, at 11:00 AM, where family and friends are welcome to attend.
