Patrick R. Lavery Jr, 25, of Elkton, MD, passed away at his home Monday October 8, 2012.
Born in Havre de Grace, MD on April 22, 1987, Patrick was the son of Patrick and Rayanne Thompson Lavery. He achieved the rank of Life Scout and played in the Cecil Soccer League for eight years before becoming a soccer referee. He graduated from Elkton High School in 2005. He was also a graduate of United Technical Institute in Exton, Pa. He worked at Exact Staff/IKEA and also the Town Of Elkton in the maintenance department. He was most recently a student studying to be a tax preparer. Patrick was a lover of the outdoors and volunteered at the Elk Neck State Park.
He loved to travel including trips to Canada, Germany, and Austria . He enjoyed hiking, fishing and camping as well as golf and swimming.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister Thérèse Marie Lavery of
Philadelphia, an aunt, Laura Munski of Grand Forks, ND; an uncle, George Thompson of Grand Forks and an uncle and aunt Thomas and Emily Lavery of Bossier City, LA.
Services will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church in North East, MD on Saturday October 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may call at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main St., Elkton, MD 21921 on Friday October 12 from 6 – 8 pm or one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Patrick’s memory may be made to Delmarva Council Boy Scouts of America c/o the funeral home.

Patrick, the time we shared was very short, but still enough to make an impact. I had so much fun when we were at Bastille Day and out to Milburn and picking so many grapes off the vine I had to give you more than half to take home, and even just sitting in Panera Bread talking.
