Patrick Joseph Glynn, age 77 of Rising Sun, MD passed away on June 22, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 28, 1940 in Long Island, New York to the late Joseph Glynn and Freida (Neuman) Glynn.

Pat was employed by Alger Oil Company for 37 years as a Service Manager and he retired in 2006. He was a member of the Community Fire Company of Rising Sun Maryland. During the 1970’s, Pat coached Rising Sun Little League and for a number of years, he coached Junior Football in Rising Sun, MD. He enjoyed watching NFL on Sundays and was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan. Pat was not afraid to show his fun spirited side. He was active in country dancing with The Real McCoy Line Dancers and The Southern Sidekicks. He also loved to go boating in the Upper Chesapeake Bay and spending time with his beloved cats.

Pat is survived by his wife, Cathie Glynn of Rising Sun, MD; sons: Patrick James Glynn and his wife, Erin of Rising Sun, MD and Douglas John Glynn and his fiancé, Cindy Marrs of Rising Sun, MD; sisters: Mary Ellen Horan of Dallas, TX and Kay Delelys of Orlando, FL; and grandchildren: Lauren Glynn and her husband, Brad Phillips, Allison Glynn, Sean Glynn, Daniel Glynn, and James Glynn.

Family and friends may attend a visitation for Pat on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 6:00-7:00 pm at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911. Services for Pat will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to, “Arthritis Foundation” and sent in care of the funeral home; P.O.
