Patricia “Pat” Cleone Price of Rising Sun, MD, age 68 passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019. She was born in Baltimore, MD on November 16, 1950 to the late Wilhelm Henry Engel II and Pauline Elizabeth (Thompson) Engel.
Pat was born in Maryland but was raised in North Dakota. She graduated from Garrison High School in 1968, and was married in 1969 to the love of her life, Franklin Price. Pat went on to be a homemaker and raise three children. She had a great love for her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Pat enjoyed doing crosswords on a daily basis. An artistic person, she expressed her talents through tole painting, designing and painting for Eldrith Pottery and by making beautiful quilts entirely by hand.
Pat is survived by her three children: Shane Price of Rising Sun, MD, Shanon Price of Rising Sun, MD and Matthew Price and his wife, Kimberly of Port Deposit, MD; two grandchildren: Cade and Sam Price; two great-grandchildren: Nashaun and Tieanah Jackson; sister, Barbara Ann Chambers and her husband, Ken of Parkville, MD and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, Pat is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Franklin Price; brother, Wilhelm Engel III; sister, Christina Friend and brother Rocky Lee Engel.
A visitation will be held 6pm-8pm on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911. A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at 11am on Monday, January 7, 2019 at R.T Foard Funeral Home, where family and friends may begin visiting at 10am. Burial will follow at West Nottingham Cemetery.
