Pamela Tompkins Franklin, age 44 of Newark, DE went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 28, 2013.
She was born in Wilmington, DE, daughter of William and Elizabeth Tompkins. Pam was an avid football fan and enjoyed spending her free time at the casinos. At age 39, she began her journey of traveling the world. Pam came to rest in Screven, Georgia where she had resided for the last 8 months. Throughout her life, she enjoyed being a homemaker. Her greatest pleasure in life was spending time with her grandsons, who called her “Nana”.
Pam is survived by her mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Tompkins of DE; 2 daughters Kristina Favazza (A.J.) of Georgia and Kayla Franklin of Delaware; 2 sisters Billie Jo Harrington and her husband Eric and Cathy Dill and her husband Robert, both of Delaware; 2 grandson’s Mikey and Vinney Favazza both of Georgia, and many nieces, nephews, and dear family.
She is preceded in death by her father William “Bunkie” Tompkins; her grandmother Catherine Morton; her mother in law Judith Franklin Moyer; and her beloved fur baby Katie.
A Service will be held at 12pm on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at R. T. Foard and Jones Funeral Home, 122 W. Main Street, Newark, DE 19711, family and friends may visit starting at 10am. A celebration of life is to follow at the VFW Post 475 in Newark.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made R. T. Foard and Jones Funeral Home.

Pam was one of the best people I have ever met. I remember when I had my first son Bret and she was right at the hospital coaching me while I delivered my son. After I had him we developed such a close friendship, she inspired me to become the mom I am today. Her close relationship with her girls helped me learn and develop a close bond with my own children. I was shocked and am still shocked that my friend has passed. Pam you will always been in my heart forever and always.
