Pamela “Pam” Stewart, of Newark, Delaware, passed away peacefully at Season’s Hospice located in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE the morning of November 11 2022, due to complications from her 30 year battle with MS. Born in Camden, New Jersey on March 30, 1965, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Dolores E. (Caputo) Stewart of Cherry Hill, NJ.
She is survived by her life partner of 32 years, Janet T. Williams of Newark, Delaware, Brother, Glenn Stewart, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, niece Sara Shivock, and nephews Joshua Shivock & Tye Williams.
She is preceded in death by her brother Wayne Stewart.
Pam received her bachelor degree in English & Technical Writing from the University of Delaware and her masters in Library Science from Drexel University. She worked as a librarian for both Goldey-Beacom College and Neumann University.
Pam was an avid reader all her life switching to audio books when she was no longer able to hold books. Until recent years she had enjoyed traveling and camping. especially trips to Maine, PEI & Nova Scotia/Cape Breton Canada. She was a sports fan, especially women’s basketball.
Pam was beloved by her family and friends. She was smart and funny. Lucky are those she considered her friends. She will be truly missed.
The family would like to thank Christiana Hospital staff and Seasons Hospice for their care and kindness in the last month of her life.
Pam requested that in lieu of flowers friends make donations to their local animal shelter.
