Orville R. Lang, 75, of North East, MD, passed away on January 8, 2023, following a long illness. Born on May 7, 1947, to Robert A. and Mary Lois Williams Lang in Dalhart, TX. Orville moved to Rising Sun, MD in 1965 and worked at the Fawn Grove Sewing Factory. Orville and Betty married in1966 and he worked at Chrysler (Newark, DE) for 30 years. After his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, country music, watching baseball, western movies, and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Robert A. and Mary L. Lang; four brothers, Bobby J. Lang, Jack Lang, Frank Lang, and Richard Lang; and three sisters, Betty Jean Lang, Mona Sherred, and Marion Rodriquez.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Betty Lou Lang, three children, Kenneth (Michele) Lang, Jay (Lynn) Lang, and Judy (Matt) Reynolds; eight grandchildren, one sister, Sue Adams; two brothers-in-law, Fred (Cindy) Dollenger (MD), and George Rodriguez (NM), two sisters-in-law, Zelda Lang (TX), and Denise Lang (FL); and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 16th at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, Rising Sun, MD, 21911. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., and a service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD. To send online condolences please visit, www.rtfoard.com.
