Norman L. McCaslin, 83, of Conowingo, MD, passed away February 16, 2015 at Union Hospital.
A lifelong resident of Conowingo, Normans was born on March 3, 1931, the son of the late Austin and Agnes Carr McCaslin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked for Bethlehem Steel and for Frezzo Brothers Trucking in Avondale, PA. He enjoyed farming, crabbing and was especially proud of the tomato plants in his garden. He was a member of Mason Dixon American Legion Post 194 in Rising Sun.
Surviving are his son, Patrick McCaslin and his fiancé, Christina Rene Dunivant of Conowingo; two daughters, Diane Wagner and her husband, Danny of Missouri, and Rosemary Sutton and her husband, Wayne of Rising Sun; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; as well as a sister, Betty Orr of Rising Sun. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy McCaslin; his sister Dorothy Keys, his brothers, Clyde and Ralph McCaslin, and his half brother Raymond Carr.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at Harmony Chapel Cemetery on Monday February 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mason Dixon American Legion Post 194 and mailed to R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911.
