Norman Edward Hall, age 89, of Landenberg, PA, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2012. He was born on February 11, 1922 to the late William and Alice (Aiken) Thompson Hall.
Norman grew up on a farm and continued farming on the side. He was employed with the B & O Railroad for several years and later worked for the University of Delaware in facility maintenance, where he retired. Norman enjoyed traveling, taking cruises and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his sons, William Hall of Fair Hill, MD and Charles Hall of Oxford, PA; daughters, Susan Alice Hall of Nearest Port and Beverly Jean Foth (Paul) of Bear, DE; sister, Ruth Wollaston of West Grove, PA; grandchildren, Bobby, Beth, Nathan, Sarah, Becky, Brynn and Wyatt; and great grandchildren, Ava, Skyler and Trevor.
In addition to his parents, Norman, was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elizabeth Hall in 2010 and his son, Norman Edward Hall, Jr.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at R.T. Foard and Jones, Inc., 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711. Friends and family may visit on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Burial will follow at New London Presbyterian Cemetery.
