Neal Parker Riegel

On March 28, 2024, Neal Parker Riegel, 68, loving husband of Laurie Riegel (nee Yeager) for 43 years passed away at home.  Neal was the son of the late George Parker Riegel and Helen Carolyn Riegel (Newbeck) and was born and raised in Reisterstown Md.  Through the years Neal enjoyed being with his family and close friends, playing tennis, long walks, boating, the Outer Banks, sports (Orioles, Colts, Ravens, Maryland Basketball), classic rock music, and crabs and beer.  Many will remember his fun sense of humor.

Neal is survived by his wife Laurie, his mother Helen Newbeck, his brother Glenn Riegel (Rebecca), brother-in-law Don Yeager (Eileen), sister-in-law Susan Little (Tom), and granddaughter Kamryn Freyman.  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by son Benjamin Parker Riegel, brother Craig Brian Riegel.

A ‘Celebration of Life’ will be planned for a later date with family and friends.  The burial will be private with the family.  In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made for the special works of the local Cecil County EMT or Chesapeake City Fire Department.
