Neal J. Jensen, 81, of Bear, DE passed away peacefully Sunday, December 13, 2015 at his home.

Born July 6, 1934 in Vernon Township, IA, Neal was the son of the late Nels and Anna (Haggen) Jensen. Neal served his country proudly during the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was a simple man who enjoyed the company of his friends and family.

Neal is survived by his three sons, Terry Althouse, Michael Althouse and his wife, Helen, and Daryl Althouse and his husband, Rick Ceresini; two daughters, Pam Jensen and Linda Sanford; half-sister, Helen Hoveland; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, Neal was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Catherine (Greene) Jensen who passed away November 7, 2015.

A graveside service will be held in Neal’s honor at 11:00am Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made payable to the American Cancer Society or to the American Alzheimer’s Association and send in care to R.T. Foard & Jones, Inc., 122 W.
