Nathan E. Harris, age 81, passed away on May 14, 2013 at Southern Chester County Medical Center in Jennersville, PA. Nathan was born in West Grove, Pennsylvania on October 21, 1931 to the late Ed and Elizabeth (Britton) Harris.
Nathan drove trucks most of his life, a profession he enjoyed immensely. He at one time even owned his own rig. An amateur boxer, he enjoyed watching the sport and was fascinated with motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Harris of 35 years; his sons, Nathan Harris, Jr. and wife Beverly of Lebanon, PA, Bobby Harris of Leola, PA, James Harris and wife Shannon of DE, Edward Harris of Mt. Joy, PA; daughters, Cindy Elder and husband Tom of Lancaster, PA, Dorothy Harris of Leola, PA, Linda Carter and husband Gary of Paradise, PA; brother, Richard Harris of Oxford, PA; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Service will be held at 11AM on Monday, May 20, 2013 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911. Family and friends may visit one hour prior beginning at 10AM.
Burial will follow at Brookview Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.
