Nancy Louise Chadwick, age 78, of Newark, DE passed away May 31, 2019. She was born on July 1, 1940 in Buffalo, NY to the late Daniel Ovid Clausius and Louise Mae Akroyd (Kramer).

Nancy primarily cared for her family and home. She was a part time pre-school teacher and worked at “Creations Plus” craft store for many years. Nancy loved quilting, sewing and crafting. She also loved watching her grandchildren. Nancy was an active member at Evangelical Presbyterian Church for 45 years. Her activities included teaching vacation bible school, nursery, cooking, and Sunday school.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Roy W. Chadwick; son, Thomas M. Chadwick and his wife Karen of Richmond, VA; daughter, Dianne L. Peters and her husband Jonathan of Bear, DE; daughter, Linda S. French and her husband Scott of Towson, MD; 10 grandchildren, Elizabeth Rerick and her husband John, Claire Chadwick, Ian Chadwick, Kaitlin Ulmer, Zachary Ulmer, Maggie Peters, Tyler French, Joshua French, Andrew French, and Callie French; and sisters, Darlene Orlando of Pawcatuck, CT and Sandra Higgins of Temecula, CA. In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her sister, Diane Bowden; and brother, George Clausius.

A celebration of Nancy Louise Chadwick’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 10, 2019 at Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 308 Possum Park Rd, Newark, DE 19711. Family and friends are being called to visit one hour prior. Inurnment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “Evangelical Presbyterian Church” or “Alzheimer’s Association” and sent in care of R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711.
