Nancy Ernestine Johnson, age 85, of Rising Sun, MD passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018. She was born in Elkton, MD on October 29, 1932 to the late Charles and Mary (Knight) Kempa.
Nancy was an employee for Chrysler. She enjoyed working in her yard and planting flowers. Nancy was a great cook and shared her talents with her son, Paul. She loved her family and cherished the moments they spent together. Nancy also loved her dogs. She and her late husband, Joseph would walk them frequently at the Community Fire Company of Rising Sun.
Nancy is survived by her son, Paul Johnson and his wife, Judy; two granddaughters: Sherry Carr and her husband, James and Shannon Baruka; seven great grandchildren: Timmy, Chase, Alyssa, Taylor, Nicholas, Carlee, and Brandon Carr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Joseph Edward Johnson.
A funeral service in Nancy’s honor will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911, where family and friends may begin visiting at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be payable to the “Alzheimer’s Association” and sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
