Nancy D. Wiggins

August 26, 1943 - October 24, 2024

Nancy D. Wiggins, age 81, from Rising Sun, MD, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, October 24, 2024. She was born on August 26, 1943, in Elkton, MD.

Nancy was a graduate of Rising Sun High School, class of 1962. She was a long-time member of Jane’s Church in Rising Sun, Maryland. Nancy enjoyed playing cards and dominos with her friends. She loved spending time gardening and growing her flowers. Nancy will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

The family would like to thank the staff at Abby Manor and Amedysis Hospice for the care given to Nancy.

Nancy is survived by her children: Chris Wiggins (wife, Donna) of Rising Sun, MD, and Lisa Pierce (husband, Wayne) of Elkton, MD; grandson, Hunter Wiggins (wife, Monica) of Conowingo MD; great-grandson, Chase Wiggins; brother Andy Wyatt of York PA; and sister, Angela Wyatt of North East MD.

Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Mae Wyatt and her step-father Jack Wyatt.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.

Nancy was a lovely person I enjoyed talking to her

Nancy pantsy, the Christmas queen 🎄 You will always hold a special place in my heart, you truly were one of a kind. You kept everyone on their toes every day but we loved you more for it! Our days consisted of you so much that we feel like we are so heartbroken and bored without you with us, but I feel such comfort knowing you are in a more beautiful place surrounded by loved ones and in no pain. There are a million memories with you that I will cherish forever. I have said this plenty of times but you truly were the funniest lady I’ve ever met. You were always true to yourself and didn’t put up with nonsense you were the boss that was clear 😂 there are too many words to describe the love I have for you! You will always be my mommom Nancy and I will miss looking through Christmas catalogs with you 💕 praying for your kids and family in this difficult time, I know you are with them every day. I love you Miss Nancy 💖

Ms. Nancy was always such a wonderful person to have conversations with. Always smiling and so put together when she would come out to pay her car insurance. My condolences to Chris and Lisa and all that loved her. She will be be missed.

Oh my Nancy how I miss you so much already.. It feels so empty going into work & not seeing you in your chair or hearing your voice. I’d do anything for one more hug & kiss on your forehead. I love you forever Nancy, it was a pleasure taking care of you & having you apart of family. I’ll never forget all the crazy conversations we’ve had together & all the memories.. Until we meet again my gremmy grem🪽 My condolences go out to Lisa & Chris & the rest of the family. I am so sorry for everyone's loss. I met Nancy when I joined the Ladies Auxiliary Union Hospital. She was so nice and easy to talk to. Then I found out I went to school with her daughter Lisa. I would always see Nancy in Martin's and we would always ask how each other was doing. I will keep her family in my prayers.

Such a gift getting to know Nancy. Forever will be missed.

Nancy was definitely one of a kind she never failed to put a smile of my face and make me laugh. she was full of love. There’s so many memories with nancy i’ll always cherish.
