Muriel “Mimi” Louise Naber, age 84, of Newark, DE, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023. She was born in Rochester, NY on August 19, 1938, to the late Earl and Louise (Adams) Mattes.
Throughout Mimi’s life, she had the opportunity to hold many careers in which she loved like teaching English, being a head librarian, and even selling real estate with her husband, Francis. Mimi was a spiritual woman who loved the Lord. In her spare time, you could find Mimi reading or enjoying anything that involved the work of art such as museums, art galleries or theaters. Mimi will be missed by all who knew her kind heart.
Mimi is survived by her children, Lauren Muriel Adams, and Brian Lee Naber; granddaughter, Amber Nichole Naber; brother, Robert Mattes; and sister, Shelia Dunn. In addition to her parents, Mimi is preceded by her loving husband, Francis James Naber, Jr.
At the convenience of the family, services for Mimi will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “Lewy Body Dementia Association” and sent in care of R.T.
