Margaret G. Ragan “Bonnie” (87) of Rising Sun, MD passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022 at the Elkton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Elkton, MD. Born in Rising Sun, MD on January 1, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Draper E. Spence and Helen J. Spence.

Margaret enjoyed “gardening”, which consisted of her placing plants into the soil and then turning over the gardening duties to her children. Her family also fondly remembers her “contagious laughter” that would light up the room at family gatherings. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children: Carol Crotti (Ralph), Richard Ragan, Jr. (Sandra), Vickie Marrs (Terry), Sherry Marrs, Polly Webb (Victor Jr,) and Nick Ragan (Janet); 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Linda Hennessey (Harry), and Deborah Cullum.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings: brothers: Ernest Spence, Jr., and Richard Spence; sister, Dorothy Rourke.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 1:00pm at Brookview Cemetery – Cemetery Lane, Rising Sun, MD.
