Alice Marie Bramble, age 91, of Fair Hill, MD, passed away on Monday evening, November 1, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born in Cecilton, MD on January 20, 1930 to the late Walter J. Poore and Alice (Rhoades) Poore.
Alice was born and raised on the Poore family farm, better known as Budds Landing, on the Sassafras River near Cecilton, MD. She graduated from Cecilton High School in 1948. After High School she worked as a waitress at the Kitty Knight House where she met her husband of 56 years, Charles “Lindy” Bramble, Sr. She enjoyed the summer months and spending time with her family crabbing and vacationing in Ocean City, MD, and Duck, NC. She was the biggest supporter of her children and their involvement with Rock Church, foxhunting and horse showing in the tri-state area. She had a passion for baking and there was always a bunny cake at every Easter dinner. Her husband, children, and grandson were her pride and joy and her entire world. She spent countless hours building Legos sorting baseball cards, and playing bingo with her grandson as he grew up and she never missed a little league game, ever! As a young couple, Alice and Lindy farmed in the Cecilton/Galena areas before moving to Fair Hill when Alice went to work for the DuPont Company. She retired in 1991 with more than 38 years of dedicated and very proud service. Alice was the longest customer (55+ years) of LaBella Hair Salon, Main St, Elkton, MD before their closing in mid-2021 due to retirement. Her weekly hair appointments were an absolute must!
She is survived by her daughter, Connie Bramble Riale of Kemblesville, PA; her grandson, Raymond Slicer Riale IV (Melissa), and two great grandchildren, Brielle Grace Riale and Archer Charles Riale.
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Charles L Bramble Sr and her son Charles L Bramble Jr, better known as Charlie.
