Richard O. Ragan, Sr. “Teddy” (89) of Rising Sun, MD passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the Elkton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Elkton, MD. Born in Elkton, MD on December 30, 1932 he was the son of the late Earl N. Ragan and Mary F. Ragan

Richard was employed at Ragan Motors, with his brother Frank for several years until he started his own Auto Repair Shop, Ted’s Garage in Conowingo, MD. Richard was a true “people Person”. He was a most gracious host and enjoyed the company of friends and family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his children: Carol Crotti (Ralph), Richard Ragan, Jr. (Sandra), Vicki Marrs (Terry), Sherri Marrs, Polly Webb (Victor Jr.), and Nick Ragan (Janet); 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his siblings: brothers: Earl Ragan, Jr., Walter Ragan, Fred Ragan, Donald Ragan, Eugene Ragan, Frank Ragan, and Raymond Ragan; sisters: Lola Nelson, Irene Factor, Ruth Noble, Pauline Reedy and Phyllis Ragan.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 1:00pm at Brookview Cemetery – Cemetery Lane, Rising Sun, MD.
