Mr. Harold Benton Hamilton Jr.

September 9, 1957 - February 8, 2024

Harold Benton Hamilton Jr. of Elkton, MD passed away Thursday, February 08, 2024. A lifelong resident of Cecil County,

he was born on September 09,1957, to the late Harold Benton Hamilton Sr. & Georgia Rose (Dickens) Hamilton.

He enjoyed science fiction, especially Star Trek and all the great sitcoms of the 70’s.

He excelled in music, played trombone and marched in many parades with the NEHS Band.

After graduating, he and a few friends formed a brass band and played at venues near and far, which he valued.

His surviving siblings include; Karen Fortin of Elkton MD, Patricia Plante of Jacksonville FL, Charlotte Hamilton of North East MD, David Hamilton Sr. of Elkton MD, and Margaret Brumit

of Elkton MD.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Edward Hamilton.

He was very well loved and will be greatly missed! The family has requested no service to be held at this time.

Condolences to the family. I worked with Harold, and he had a great, dry sense of humor. We will miss him. May he rest in peace.

I enjoyed working with Harold. He had a great sense of humor. We had lots of interesting conversations about life. The world would be a better place if others were as open as he was.

I worked with Harold. He was a great guy with a good sense of humor. We had many funny moments at work. Sad to hear this. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I worked with Harold at the State of Delaware and enjoyed talking to him about work, Star Trek and more. I was very sad to hear this and I will miss him.
