He was born on March 9, 1948, in Grafton, West Virginia, to his devoted parents, the late Delmis and Mildred (Love) Stemple. David shared 57 wonderful years of his life with his cherished wife, Arlene (Pierce) Stemple.
David’s journey through life was a testament to his unwavering commitment and service. He served his country with honor in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, exemplifying courage and dedication. After his military service, David pursued higher education and emerged as a skilled Electrical Contractor. His dedication led him to become a respected member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 126. Upon retirement from the union, he ventured to open Stemple Brothers Hunting and Fishing Supplies in Conowingo, so he could share his knowledge and love of hunting and fishing with others.
Beyond his professional pursuits, David was an avid outdoorsman at heart. He found peace and joy being out in nature, spending quiet time alone with God, whether it be in a tree stand, in a boat, or along the edge of the water, indulging in his love for fishing and hunting. His love for the great outdoors extended to the golf course, the beach, the mountains, and the front porch (in later years) where he spent many cherished hours both with family and friends or alone watching the animals or the planes go by. He also enjoyed playing cards to pass the time. Rummy seemed to be his favorite over the past few years. Additionally, David shared his passion for music by playing various types of music including country, and gospel on his guitar.
David’s spiritual life was a cornerstone of his character, and his faith was evident in his life, making a lasting impact on the lives of those he touched. He was a member of Porters Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Youth Leader in his younger years and enjoyed playing guitar and singing with his family.
David’s memory will be deeply cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Arlene Stemple, and their four children: Rob Stemple and his wife Jennifer, Tina Bell, Matt Stemple and his wife Tristica, Dan Stemple and his wife Lisa. He leaves behind several adored grandchildren: Connor Stemple, Lauren Stemple, Zach Bell and his wife Chelsie, Colton Bell and his wife Summer, Josh Stemple, Ethan Giles, Lisa Weaver and husband Greg and Cierra Velez.
