My thoughts and prayers go out to Michelle and her family. I just learned of her passing from the UD Alumni magazine. Michelle was one of my study buddies as we worked our way towards our civil engineering degrees. She always had such a beautiful smile and was one of the nicest and sweetest people I knew. I always enjoyed working with her. Peace to her family.

It has been several years since I last saw or spoke with Michelle but she has been on my mind lately. I just heard the news of Michelle's passing tonight. Whenever I see a KCI truck, Michelle is one of the people who quickly come to my mind. She wasn't the easiest person to get to know, but underneath her "hard" exterior, she was a funny and sweet person. I enjoyed getting to know her and I am saddened to hear of her passing but I know that she is at peace now. She has been restored to her natural glory and basking in the light. I hope her son Trey knows how much she loved him. He brought a huge smile to her face whenever she would speak about him. My condolences to Trey and Michelle's family. Godspeed Michelle. Rest in peace now.

I do not know your daughter but when I read the cause I was taken. My husband died 4 years ago with the same thing. I have not met anyone else with this disease. It was astonishing. My prayers to all your family . If you ever need to talk to someone please look me up.

Nancy, I have no beautiful words, like some on this post, but, know my thoughts and prayers are with you. She couldn't have had a better Mother to help and be with her these last years

Words alone cannot describe the loss of my daughter Michelle... but I find comfort in these words written by poet, Ellis Way. Michelle is at home in heaven, dear ones; Oh, so happy and so bright. There is a perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed; She is now at peace forever, safely home in heaven at last. Did you wonder why she so calmly Trod the valley of the shade? Oh, but Jesus’ love illuminated Every dark and fearful glade. And He came Himself to meet her in the way so hard to tread; And with Jesus’ arm to lean on could she have one doubt or dread? Then you must not grieve so sorely, for she loved us dearly still. Try to look beyond death’s shadows; Pray to trust our Father’s will. I have so many wonderful memories of Michelle that I don't even know where to start. She is the reason I met my idol, Pat Benatar and it's because of Michelle that I met the man who stole my heart. One night Michelle and I got stuck in a torrential downpour at a concert and instead of getting upset, Michelle and I just laughed like crazy. We looked like two drowned rats but we had such a great time and got even better seats because everyone else had left. Michelle's laugh and contagious smile (even during some of her most trying days) is something I will never forget. There were days when she would even cheer ME up! It should have been the other way around but she was strong, so amazingly strong. I know that she is celebrating the physical freedom she didn't have these last 4 years. My prayers and sympathy are with Nancy, Tracy and Trey and the rest of Michelle's family. Thank you for sharing this beautiful soul with us. My life will be forever changed because of Michelle and those special moments I shared with her. Love to you all.
