Michael Wayne Simpers, age 62 of Elkton, MD passed away on January 22, 2019. He was born on March 26, 1956 to Robert Wayne Simpers and Sarah Elizabeth (Fears) Simpers.

Mike worked as an electrician and later changed his career path and became a Real Estate Agent where he worked for Long and Foster Real Estate Company. Mike and his wife, Pam loved to travel to warmer climates. He loved being near the water and enjoyed boating, snorkeling, and scuba diving with Pam.

Mike is survived by his wife of 38 years, Pamela Simpers of Elkton, MD; mother, Sarah (Fears) Simpers of North East. MD; father, Robert Simpers of North East, MD; brother, Robert Simpers and his wife, Kareen of Granville, NY; sisters: Susan Riggs of North East, MD and Sally LaFontaine and her husband, Gary of Elkton, MD.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Sheree Jean Simpers.

A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at a later date. Please check the funeral home’s website for any updates. Aunt Betty, Uncle Bob, Bobby, Susan, Sally...sending you our support while remembering Mike and the many good times we shared as kids...Pam, you know better than any of us what a good man Mike was and it was easy to see what a special relationship you to shared...keep those memories close...although we didn't see each other as often as we might have liked as we got older, when we did get time together it was always too short...love to you all.

So sorry for your loss. Mike was a staple here at Long and Foster and he will be sorely missed.

Mike was truly my mentor as I was learning the electrical trade. Mike took me under his wing and showed me the proper ways to terminate and install Industrial controls. Because of that help I later worked my way to Senior Electrical Engineer at Edgewell Personal Care. Mike had a huge positive influence on my life and career.

So sorry for your loss Pam! Like Rose said we all grew up together on George St, we were all like family and our parents were too. It is some of my best memories that I have, R.I.P. Mike!

Vicki and I are very sorry to hear of Mikes passing. He was a great guy. We have lots of good memories dating back to our highschool days. He will be missed!

So sorry for the loss of Mike. I cherish the memories of growing up together on George Street playing Hide and Seek, Wiffle Ball and just hanging out in the neighborhood. It was like one big family living on George Street. Everyone was always outside playing, barbecuing or just hanging out shooting the bull ( Including the parents). Such fun times. Seems like the only time anyone went in was to eat or sleep. Those were the days! R.I.P Mike. You will be missed. Rose and Terry Schmoker
