Michael Stewart Thompson (5/9/1950-10/5/2023), also lovingly called by family and friends, “Mr Mike” was born in Wilmington, DE. He was the the son of Paul J. (deceased) & Jacqueline S. Thompson and oldest brother to Jane E. Thompson-Rae and Timothy W. Thompson. He is survived by his two daughters, Caitlin Thompson and Hailey Courchia, and his Partner for 33 years, Karen Anderson. At the age of 2 years his family moved to Charlotte, NC. In Michael’s freshman year of High School the family moved to Bucks County, PA where he graduated from Council Rock HS. Michael attended one year at Penn State University but dropped out due to health reasons related to his life-long battle with Darier’s disease. Most of his adult life was spent in the Landenberg, PA area. Michael in earlier years was an accomplished painter, sculptor and creator. One of his proudest moments was having his handmade leather garments selected to be displayed in the Woodstock Festival Museum for their 50th anniversary celebration. In later years Mr. Mike became immersed in repairing and reconditioning Apple Computers. He was also an avid gardener and a self-taught auto mechanic.
Mr. Mike was an original and a free spirit. He is loved and will be missed.
