Michael Philip Jepsen, age 53, of Rising Sun, MD passed away on April 12, 2017. Michael was born in Jakarta, Indonesia on September 20, 1963.

Michael grew up in Copenhagen, Denmark where he was a chef in the hotel industry. In 1997 he moved to the United States and continued working as a chef at the Fair Hill Inn in Fair Hill, MD. Michael studied at Harvard University and received his Master’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, he was also fluent in seven languages. Michael was then employed by Oracle America Inc. as a computer engineer focusing on software management for the hotel industry. Michael enjoyed his involvement in the activities at The Church of the Nazarene especially preparing the food for their many activities. He loved his family and was very involved in the raising of his three granddaughters.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Jepsen of Rising Sun, MD; sons, Benjamin Harrison and his companion Jessica Lewis of Rising Sun, MD, Austin Strohmaier and his companion Courtney of Minot, ND and Cody Strohmaier and his wife Katarina of Rising Sun, MD; granddaughters, Angela Harrison, Adriana Harrison and Aurora Ruby Harrison of Rising Sun, MD; father, Mogens Pind of Denmark; mother, Elizabeth Ann Jepsen of Denmark; mother-in-law, Ruby Chambers of Rising Sun, MD.

A Service will be held 12:00 pm on Monday, April 17, 2017 at The Church of the Nazarene, 2626 Tome Highway, Colora, MD. 21917 with a visitation beginning at 11:00 am where family and friends are welcome to attend. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
