Michael Paul Pugarelli

Michael Paul Pugarelli, age 84 of Elkton, MD, formerly of Haddon Township, NJ passed away on June 28, 2026. He was born on October 22, 1941 in Scranton, PA to the late Victor Pugarelli and Anna F. (Martini) Pugarelli.

Michael was 2^nd generation owner of Victor’s Hardware in Westmont, NJ. He was a very sociable man who looked forward to meeting and talking to his customers, especially helping fathers build Barbie Dream Houses during Christmas time. Michael’s greatest treasure in his life was his wife, Carol. He spotted her in a group of girls and told his friends that “She will be my wife,” at just 16 years old.

Michael was a founding member of “Wally’s Woes” from the Star Stream in Avalon, NJ. He was always known to light up a room and a cigarette! You could always catch Michael outside working on his garden and tan.

Michael is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carol M. Pugarelli; daughters: Danielle Lafferty (Frank) and Michelle L. Pugarelli; granddaughter, Elizabeth Lafferty; brother, Victor S. Pugarelli (Joan); sister Maria Ginter, nephew Adam Pugarelli; his beloved cats; Bonnie and Clyde; and his grand-dogs: Brick, Bodhi, Mocha, True, and Mac.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Concetta Andriani.

Services will be announced at a later date. Michael has chosen to donate himself to the University of Delaware, so he is now an official “Blue Hen” like his granddaughter Elizabeth.
