Michael Joseph Longacre, age 63, of Perryville, MD passed away on July 25, 2021. He was born in Wilmington, DE on April 27, 1958 to the late William Wirt Longacre and Josephine Mary (Kucharski) Longacre.

Michael proudly served in the U.S. Navy for eleven years. He was an avid fisherman, who always enjoyed being on the water. Michael recently bought himself a kayak and spent many hours fishing. Michael loved golf; you could always catch him watching a game on the TV. His greatest joy in life was being with his family. Michael will always be remembered for his great sense of humor.

Michael is survived by his two daughters: Victoria Wilbur and her husband, Andrew; Brittany Longacre and her husband, Brandon; six grandchildren: Brayden, Addisyn, Paisley, Scarlytt, Carson, and Kinsley; four siblings: Katherine Carey and her husband, James; Teresa Turner, David Longacre and his wife, Suzette, and Jessica Freeman and her husband, Mark; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Michael is preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd, Bear, DE 19701 where friends and family may attend at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “Disabled American Veterans” and sent in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.O. Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
