Melvin James “Jimmy” Jones Jr., 28, of Chesapeake City, MD, passed away suddenly at his home February 14, 2012.
Born in Wilmington, DE on September 9, 1983, Jimmy was the son of Melvin James and Rebecca Ann Longacre Jones. He was a graduate of Bohemia Manor High School and worked as a sheet metal mechanic. He was an avid fisherman and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother Lance Cpl. Joseph Jones, USMC, of Chesapeake City, MD and stationed in Japan and a niece Jaelynn Jones of Smyrna, DE and his two dogs, Roxy and Rebel.
A service honoring his life will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 318 George St., Chesapeake City, MD 21915 on Saturday February 18, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Friends and family may call at the funeral home beginning at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
