Mattie Ann Bonner passed away on May 17, 2013 at Caraway Manor Assisted Living in Elkton, MD at the age of 90. She was born May 27, 1922 in Middleburg, VA to Clarence and Mary Waddell. Mattie and Tom got married on November 22, 1939. They were married 48 years when Tom passed away.
Mattie is survived by her brother, Bryant Waddell of The Plains, VA; sister, Theresa Gregg of Charlestown, W.V.; sons, Tom Bonner and wife Carol of Elkton, MD and Will Bonner and wife Nicky of Elkton, MD; daughter, Mary Ann Renninger and husband Terry of North East, MD; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mattie is preceded in death by her husband Tom Bonner and her daughter Linda Sue Bonner, three brothers and five sisters.
We would like to give special thanks to all of the staff at Caraway Manor for all of the loving care in the 6 years that she was there. And also to all of the friendships she made along the way.
A service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home P.A., 259 E. Main St. Elkton, MD 21921. Friends and family may visit one hour prior beginning at 12 noon. Burial will follow at Sharps Cemetery in Fair Hill, MD. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association c/o R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A.
