MaryAnn Riley Foard, 92, of Colora, MD, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.  She was born on December 29, 1930 in Havre De Grace, MD, to the late James P. Riley and Anna Mary (Kyle) Riley.

MaryAnn worked as a nurse from 1952 until she retired in 2008 at the age of 78. She worked at many different places through her career, including the Perry Point Veterans Hospital. MaryAnn had many things she loved doing in life, a few of them were gardening in which she grew flowers and kept a Vegetable Garden and also cooking for her family.  She was very involved with the Boy Scouts of America for a number of years, especially The Chester County Boy Scout Council.  MaryAnn’s absolute favorite thing was spending time with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

MaryAnn is survived by her children; Albert Paul Foard, II, her daughter Paula Ann Tibbs (Randy) and her other son, James Spencer (Joyce); five grandchildren: Aaron Tibbs, Nathanael Tibbs (Sarah), Nicole La Chance, Albert Foard, III (Renee) and Amy Foard (Mike); 12 great grandchildren; two sisters: Marjorie Gilbert and Marion Brinsfield.

In addition to her parents, MaryAnn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert P. Foard, who passed away in 1983.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital” and send in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
